Carlisle and District Palestine Solidarity Group will be in the city centre this weekend to help raise funds for a Gaza field hospital.
The group is backing the British Red Cross, which is setting up the hospital to treat injuries and long term conditions and mitigate the impacts of long term starvation in Gaza.
The Carlisle group plans to hold monthly fundraising events for the appeal.
The first will be held this Saturday, November 29, from noon to 2pm near Barclays and Boots.
The campaigners will have an information stall, bucket collection and have facilities to take card and digital payments.
Last month, a silent vigil by the Red Rebel Troop took place in Carlisle city centre to highlight the situation in Gaza.
