Carlisle United have recalled defender Hayden Atkinson from his loan spell with neighbours Workington.
The West Cumbrian teenager had been due to return in the new year but he has gone back earlier than expected.
However Atkinson, who has looked impressive in the NPL Premier Division, has had a couple of injury issues and missed last week’s trip to Leek Town.
Reds boss Billy Barr said: “Hayden has been very good for us and we wish him well in the future.”
Barr is expected to complete the signing of a new midfielder who has been training with the Reds for a fortnight but he is not available for tomorrow when Reds host Bamber Bridge.
The player involved had been a professional but has now obtained employment and has shift patterns which might not fit in with fixtures.
Otherwise Reds should have virtually everybody available tomorrow for what is a key game against a side that lost to Workington at home earlier in the season.
Barr said: “Bamber Bridge look a good footballing side. They won their last game, beating Prescot Cables 1-0 but had lost five on the trot before that.
“Their manager was an excellent footballer himself which is probably why they play the way they do.”
Reds are at the foot of the table but have only lost once (1-0 at home to Guiseley) since Barr took over, and have a win and three draws to go with it.
Turning those draws into victories will be the aim as Reds go into the second-half of the season.
