Only two games were played in the West Lancashire League with Whitehaven the only Cumbrian side involved.
It was crucial one for bottom of the table Whitehaven at home against Coppull Utd, the team immediately above them.
Unfortunately, it ended in a 3-1 win for the visitors who are now four points better off than the West Cumbrians who won’t have new manager Brian Dawson in place until the New Year.
As in the previous week Whitehaven were all square 1-1 at the break but were undone in the second half.
Alessio Degrassi had put Coppull ahead on 12 minutes but Whitehaven drew level just after the half hour mark with the help of an own goal.
Coppull went home with the points after second half goals from Will Hopper (55) and Degrassi (68).
The only other game saw fifth bottom Rossendale lose 5-3 at home to Tempest United.
Millom, who should have been at leaders Eagley, had their third game in a row postponed and the same fate befell Cleator Moor Celtic, at home to CMB and Milnthorpe Corinthians at Burscough Richmond.
