
A man who filmed himself cutting down a tree at a Lake District beauty spot has been dealt with by police.
The man was tracked to his home, in the Doncaster area, in relation to the criminal damage in the area of Park Brow, Aira Force, Ullswater.
The land is owned by the National Trust.
He had been identified from a YouTube video he filmed at the time.
Eden police said details from the account were subsequently put through police systems providing a positive identification.
Eden police added: “The man has admitted the offence and he has been dealt with appropriately.
“Trees help fight climate change, save wildlife and improve our health. Please act responsibly and help to keep our countryside beautiful for all to enjoy.”
