Free flood advice is on offer in West Cumbria later this week.
The Floodmobile team and the Environment Agency will be in Whitehaven on Friday to give people flood-resilience guidance.
The event has been organised with the support of Whitehaven & Workington MP Josh MacAlister.
The Floodmobile, a specially designed flood-house on wheels, offering a hands-on demonstration of practical flood resilience, will be open at Whitehaven harbourside between 10am and 4pm.
People will be able to see property-level flood resilience measures for themselves, talk to flood-risk experts, and learn how to make homes and businesses better prepared for flooding.
Mary Long-Dhonau OBE, also known asFlood Mary, said: “The Floodmobile is an invaluable resource.
“I helped to design it and it’s packed with the kind of advice and products people often don’t discover until it’s too late.
“Flood resilience isn’t just about keeping water out – it’s about getting back on your feet faster, with less damage and less suffering.”
