Only three games went ahead in the West Cumberland Sunday League – and all in different competitions.

In the Premier Division Lowca Pirates proved far too strong for bottom side Thornhill and won 7-2 led by a hat-trick by Travis Fyfe and goals from Owen Woodburn, Harley Cueto, Aaron Wynd and Daniel Coulter.

Thornhill, still looking for their first win of the season, replied through Ben Mahaffy and Harrison Rogers.

In Division One Mirehouse moved up to third in the table with a 3-0 win over Zebras and all the goals came from Braydon Walmsley.

The third game was in the President’s Cup and Premier Division champions Deer Orchard were 5-1 winners against current Division One leaders Senhouse Street Club.

Luke Graham (2), Jayden Fulton, Sam Wright and Loui Pickering scored for the Cockermouth side with Ollie Arkles replying for Senhouse.

Sunday fixtures

  • Premier Division: Thornhill v Deer Orchard.
  • Division One: Maryport Amateurs v Sun Inn Athletic;  Mirehouse v Zebras; Sun Inn v Swan.
  • Albert Murphy Trophy: Northside v Workington Falcons.
  • President’s Cup: Dearham Commercial v Moresby Rangers.
