A 100-year-old stuffed badger has been stolen from a Lake District hotel.
The badger, known as Bertie, was taken from the White Lion Hotel in Ambleside at around 10pm on Sunday, December 8.
Cumbria police said the badger held great sentimental value to the owner.
Staff from the Badger Bar in Rydal had taken Bertie to the hotel for a Christmas party.
While staff were out of the room Bertie was taken from the building by some men and has been missing ever since.
South Lakes Police said officers were reviewing CCTV footage to identify those responsible.
