Several fell roads remain closed due to wintry conditions.
Cumberland Council closed the passes in its area on December 29 due to the recent cold snap.
The roads are closed due to ice.
The authority said it would allow its road crews to focus on main routes.
The following routes remain closed:
- Whinlatter Pass (B5292)
- Honister Pass (B5289)
- Newlands Pass (C2058)
- Cold Fell Road (C4004)
- Birker Fell Road (C4028)
- Hardknott Pass (U4059)
- Corney Fell Road (U4064)
Eden police warned drivers yesterday that there was black ice on Hartside Pass.
