The final phase of improvements at the M6’s Junction 36 will start next week.
From Tuesday, January 13, one lane of three will be closed 24 hours a day until April 1 around the Crooklands Interchange near Kendal.
Temporary barriers will be in place for around 1km, with a 50mph speed limit for around 2.5km.
National Highways said it would have to close the slip roads at the junction overnight at times and there would be clearly signed diversion routes in place.
