Carlisle Library is set to reopen this week – but it will only offer a limited service.
It is due to open tomorrow, Tuesday January 13 at 10am but will only offer a limited reception service, accessible from Level 3 of the Lanes car park.
Browsing, study spaces, PC access and printing, regular events, and general access to the main library will not be available.
It said the majority of the library will remain closed until the end of the month for the installation of air handing units.
Cumberland Council said current temperatures made it unsuitable to open the space but the closure was not due to a fault or breakdown.
It said the units. which will circulate warm air through the building, were part of the facility’s ongoing refurbishment.
From tomorrow, the following services will be available:

- Hearing aid batteries
- Bus pass applications
