Drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys on Sunday as an abnormal load will be transported via the M6.
A supergrid transformer is due to be delivered from Heysham to National Grid’s substation in Carlisle on Sunday, January 18, via the motorway.
National Highways said National Grid had arranged for the load to be escorted to help manage traffic.
