
A Whitehaven man has been banned from drinking alcohol in public for two years.
Peter Chambers, 45, of Duke Street, has been handed a criminal behaviour order which bars him from drinking anywhere other than a licensed premises.
He is also banned from entering St Nicholas Gardens and Melbreak Avenue in Cleator Moor.
He was handed the order on January 8 after he was convicted on May 21 for possession of a knife in a public place.
Peter Chambers, 45, of Duke Street, Whitehaven was given the two-year Criminal Behaviour Order on 8 January.
The punishment for breaking the terms of an order can be up to five years in prison.
Anyone who witnesses Chambers breaching the terms of his order should contact the police.
