
Two men have been charged and remanded by detectives in Westmorland and Furness’s Community and Serious Organised Crime team with drug supply offences following a vehicle stop.
Officers from the Cumbria’s Roads Policing Unit stopped a vehicle on January 19 travelling on the M6 due to the manner of driving.
The vehicle was searched and officers located 13kg of cannabis with a potential street value of £130,000.
Abdul Ahmed, 45, of Radlett Walk, Manchester and Abdul Nurdin, 49 of Tyldesley Street, Manchester, were both charged with possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
Both were remanded into custody and appeared before Barrow Magistrates Court this morning.
