They edged out Division One leaders Station Road Club 3–2 in a high-quality encounter.

The Cons were soon pegged back though, through Darren Lawson, who produced a fine performance to beat Julian Plaza 63–36.
Cons hit back in frame three as Dave Holland held off John Teasdale 65–52 in a tight contest, before Ryan Barker ensured the match victory at 3-1 with a clinical 61–42 win over Station Road’s Chris Hunter.
However, it was Station Road’s Steven Lowery who minimised the damage to grind out a 46–36 victory over Brian Kendall to end the match just one adrift at 3-2.
Conservative Club move to 31 points in Division One and close the gap at the top, while Station Road still lead the way on 41 points.
Workington’s United Club B produced another strong showing in Division Two, recording a 3–2 home win over Division One’s Workington Veterans Club.
Andrew Carter made a blistering start, hitting a 35 break on his way to a dominant 73–15 win over Mark Tunstall but it was Vets captain Kevin Basnett, who with a break of 46 made it 1-1 in a 72-13 win over Shane Tallentire.
Vets also took the next as Adam Sowden went down on the black 43–38 for 2-1 but United B captain Stephen Jackson took the game to a decider with an emphatic 80–30 win over Mark Tatton.

Paul Johnston gave the Vets something to cheer about in the decider battling hard, however it all proved to be in vain as he fell 59–33 to Stephen Harrison for a United B last frame match victory.
United B climb to 25 points and joint top in Division Two, while the Vets remain on 27 points at the foot of the Division One table.
