Eleven youngsters were asked to leave Workington town centre on Saturday after a dispersal order was put in place.
Cumbria police’s Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing Team said it had been conducting targeted patrols in Workington town centre in relation to ongoing youth crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
The dispersal order was put in place by an inspector to help officers to deal with the issue due to the calls for service being received.
Allerdale police said: “On Saturday alone 11 youths were issued with dispersal notices instructing them to leave the town centre due to their conduct.
“Behaviour displayed by the youths included throwing items off the bridge on Ladies Walk.
“One youth decided to ignore the dispersal notice issued to them and remained in the town centre. They were located by officers, reported for the offence and taken home.”
