Five fell roads in Cumbria have been closed because of the potential of icy conditions.
Cumberland Council said the routes will be closed until conditions improve and the roads are confirmed as safe to drive on.
The authority said the roads were closed on Friday February 13, and remain closed this morning, Monday February 16.
People are urged to avoid the fell roads.
The passes affected are:
- Whinlatter Pass – Closed from the top of the fell road by the visitor centre to Lorton. The route from Braithwaite to the visitor centre remains open as it part of the authority’s standard gritting route.
- Honister Pass
- Newlands Pass
- Hard Knott Pass
- Corney Fell
