Barrow lost for the first time in the Championship when they went down 22-6 at Sheffield Eagles.
The Raiders had led 6-4 in a tight first-half before the Eagles went in at the break with a 10-6 lead.
Sheffield had got ahead after just four minutes when Joel Farrell picked up a loose ball near the Barrow line and went over. Jordan Lilley’s conversion attempt came back off an upright.
Barrow got themselves in front in the 19th minute and Joe Bullock collects a great pass from Ryan Johnston to barge over from short range and Brad Walker converted.
They held their advantage until the 35th minute when Kieran Gill managed to get over the line on last tackle but there was no conversion.
However when Lilley had the opportunity of a penalty from straight in front two minutes from the break he put it over.
Sheffield scored two converted tries in the second-half to move clear, yet both came from Barrow dropping balls.
The first came on 53 minutes in attack when the ball went to ground and Sheffield eventually got up to the other end where Matt Marsh touched down and Lilley converted.
Then after 71 minutes another dropped ball in the Sheffield half was picked up and they home side score again through Billy Walkley and Lilley added the conversion.
