A man suspected of shoplifting from a Whitehaven store has been arrested.
Copeland police said officers were called at around 4.45pm on Friday to the town’s B&M store to reports that a man had taken several items.
Copeland police said a man was located within two minutes of the call and arrested on suspicion of theft. He has been released pending investigation.
Copeland police added: “Too bad he was relying on public transport.”
