A Cumbrian building society has reopened its Millom branch following a revamp.
Furness Building Society’s Market Square branch has had an overhaul and completes the organisation’s 18-month branch improvement programme.
Refurbishment work began in Millom in October to create a remodelled interior layout.
The branch’s new open-plan space is organised into zones for specific services and the traditional counter has been replaced with a meet-and-greet desk.
The branch also has a new exterior design
Millom was the last of the eight of its branches to be upgraded.
Debbie Dobson, Millom branch manager, said: “We’re really enjoying welcoming both new and familiar faces to our upgraded branch, and showing them a welcoming and comfortable space that has been designed around their needs.
“Our members can still count on the warm and friendly service they know Furness for – now offered in a brighter, more accessible environment.”
Simon Broadley, chief executive at Furness Building Society, added: “Our new Millom branch completes our ambition to create more modern, welcoming spaces across our entire estate. Our branch transformation programme complements our new digital offering which also provides members with quicker and more convenient ways to manage their finances.
“Whether our members choose to engage with us in branch, online or over the phone, our human-led, member-first values will always be front and centre, ensuring communities like here in Millom benefit from our position as a forward-thinking, sustainable building society for every stage of life.”
