A pop-up shop will open next month to raise funds for Carlisle’s Turkish Baths.
The charity working to reopen the baths will open the shop at Intro’s premises on Paternoster Row in the city from March 13 to March 15.
The pop-up shop will be full of pre-loved, and also some new, clothes, footwear and accessories, all kindly donated to the charity.
Most of the items on sale is womenswear, with a large number of original vintage and retro clothes, with labels including House of Foxy, Vixen, Freddie’s of Pinewood, Trashy Vintage, and Collectif, as well as high street names including Jaegar, Phase Eight, Laura Ashley, White Stuff and more.
Judith Yeates, events organiser for the Friends, said “We were offered some donations of clothes from our supporters and decided a pop-up charity shop would be a good fundraiser.
“There are some beautiful dresses for eveningwear and special occasions, smart clothes for work or formal dos, lots of vintage and retro items as well as more general day to daywear.
“We have all had a declutter of our wardrobes to add more items to the stock, but we are still on the lookout for men’s clothing and accessories.”

Alongside the clothing and accessories, the charity will be selling their Turkish Baths-themed merchandise and also displaying information about the vision to restore the Turkish Baths and reopen the historic baths building as a health and wellbeing centre.
The shop will be open 10am to 4pm on Friday March 13 and Saturday March 14, and 11am to 3pm on Sunday March 15.
