Grassroots football clubs across Cumberland are being invited to attend a range of free online conferences ahead of changes to youth football.
The Conferences are for Clubs events, delivered by The Football Association to support teams through these upcoming changes.
The three different digital conferences will run over three separate nights between Monday March 16 and Wednesday March 18, designed for club officials, volunteers, coaches and committee members who play a key role in delivering youth football at grassroots level.
These will be in a similar style to the League Conferences already delivered in November.
From the 2026/27 season, The FA will introduce changes to the structure of youth football, including updated formats, 3v3, 5v5 and 7v7, alongside an evolving player pathway.
The FutureFit Digital Conference will help clubs to understand these changes, and what they mean in practice.
The event will provide clear explanations of the upcoming changes to youth football formats; practical guidance on how clubs can prepare for the transition; information on the support, resources and tools available to grassroots clubs and insight from FA experts and examples from clubs already engaging with FutureFit.
Cumberland FA said that by attending the conference clubs would be better equipped to plan ahead, support volunteers and ensure young players can continue to enjoy a positive football experience.
The digital format allows attendees to join sessions flexibly and access expert insight without the need to travel.
A Cumberland FA spokesman said: “Clubs are strongly encouraged to register and take advantage of this opportunity to stay informed and prepared for the future of the youth game.”
