Whitehaven have been helped out by neighbours Barrow Raiders with a loan deal for centre Seth Woodend.
Woodend, 19, will join Anthony Murray’s squad for an initial month to help plug some holes due to injuries in the centre position.
Murray said: “We need to bring in a recognised centre, as we’ve lost Chris Taylor for the season and Jordan Burns for a long term stint
“I spoke to Paul Crarey when we played them and he spoke very highly of Seth.
“He’s a good player and hopefully he’ll add size and presence in the outside backs.”
Woodend is a product of the Furness Raiders side and signed his first professional deal with Barrow last year when he scored against Whitehaven in a pre-season game.
A Whitehaven spokesman said: “The club would like to thank the newly formed Haven Warriors Squad Builder for making this loan possible.
“This shows the instant impact supporters can have to help bolster the squad.”
