Weather permitting there should be a full programme of games in the Cumberland County League tomorrow.
Five in the Premier and the same number in Division One are scheduled, although some wet weather during the week might even by causing a few problems already.
Premier League leaders and title favourites Unisun Athletic still have eight matches to play, starting with a return game at home to Workington Juniors.
On Saturday, after a goal-less first-half Unisun eventually clinched the points with goals from Mikey Williamson and Ollie Reay, with Shane Roe on target for Workington.
The Juniors had put themselves in contention with a run of good results but have hit the buffers in their recent games.
Unisun are four points clear of champions Maryport Athletic, with a game in hand of all their nearest rivals.
Maryport’s season has faltered and last week’s 1-1 home draw with Wigton Harriers was typical of their form since before Christmas.
Wigton also drew the home game with Maryport and remarkably after 11 Premier Division matches have drawn seven of them, and are still without a win.
They travel west again tomorrow, this time to Whitehaven Miners Social who are joint third in the table with neighbours Mirehouse, both two points behind Maryport Athletic and six in arrears of Unisun.
Mirehouse face Miners Athletic in potentially the game of the day while the bottom two are due to meet at Cleator Moor as Celtic reserves host Keswick.
Celtic have lost all 11 games while Keswick have a win and three draws to show from their 11 fixtures.
The top two teams in Division One face away fixtures as leaders Dearham travel to Windscale reserves while Northbank visit third-in-the-table Cockermouth reserves.
The other games are: Whitehaven reserves v Unisun Development; Whitehaven Miners Development v Silloth; Carlisle City Development v Bransty Rangers.
