A group of four walkers had to be rescued after they were unable to cross a stream due to high water levels.
The four men had climbed Scafell Pike on Thursday.
On their descent, they were unable to recross the stream as it was too swollen.
They called for help at around 4.25pm and Cumbria police passed on their predicament to Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team for help.
The team said: “The team leader attempted to guide them to a safer crossing point higher upstream, but this was unsuccessful.
“A team was deployed, assisted all four across the swollen beck, provided warmth and reassurance, and walked them safely back down to their vehicles.”
