A 61-year-old man has been arrested after a BMW was seized in Egremont.
Cumbria Nuclear Estates Team stopped the BMW 3 Series earlier today, Tuesday March 3, in the Black Beck area.
Officers said the man had a revoked provisional license, had no insurance and failed a roadside drugs test for cannabis.
He was arrested for the offences and the car was seized. He has since been released under investigation awaiting forensics results.
A spokesman for the team said: “Police remind motorists that driving without insurance, a valid driving license and with illegal drugs in their system are serious offences which put other road users at risk and can result in vehicle seizure, prosecution, and further penalties.
“Anyone with concerns about driving offences or suspicious activity in their area is encouraged to report it to police.”
