
There’s a very strong Cumbrian representation in the England Community Lions Under-19s squad to take part in the U19 European Championship in July.
Of the 21 named 11 of them are attached to seven Cumbrian clubs with Wath Brow, Hensingham, Seaton, Distington, Egremont, Aspatria and Millom represented.
The Cumbrians are: Bailey Worthington (Distington), Dylan Morris (Egremont), Ellis Holliday (Aspatria), Jaiden Tallantire (Seaton), Kier Starkie and Rylan Templeton (both Hensingham), Jack Barker and Rio Walker (both Millom), Billy-Joe Towers, Rhomen Alick and Thomas Clarke (all Wath Brow).
Completing the squad are: Austen Coates (Shevington Sharks), Connor Hall (Wigan St Jude’s), Daniel Houghton and Zak Bennett (both Halton Farnworth Hornets), Eligh Wilkinson (West Hull), Harrison Dickinson (Waterhead Warriors), Jake Lerigo (York Acorn), Josh Smith (Brentwood Eels), Kieran Horner (King Cross Park), Louey Pinkerton (Skirlaugh)
The tournament will take place at Centre de Ressoyurces, d’Expertise et de Performance Sportive in front Romeu, France.
