Workington Comets have confirmed the launch of a Kids Go Free for 2026 community campaign, in association with three of the local companies who back them.
The campaign will see young supporters aged from newborn to 15 admitted for free during the 2026 season, when accompanied by a paying adult.
Young fans are the future of British speedway and are essential to the sport’s long-term survival.
By making it easier and more affordable for families to attend meetings, the club hopes to inspire the next generation of fans to support the Comets.
The club said it believed t was absolutely the right thing to do and an important step in helping secure the long-term future of the sport.
Workington Speedway promoter Andrew Bain said: “We feel very strongly about this as a club. Young fans are the future of our club and British Speedway, and we want to give more families the chance to experience the excitement of live racing at the GT Tyres Arena, Northside.
“I’d also like to personally thank Forth Engineering, First Image Signs and MCS Plant Hire for their support in helping make this campaign possible.”
