A driver has died following a single vehicle collision on the A591.
Cumbria police said a Mercedes car was involved in the incident on Thursday, March 12 in the afternoon.
The collision is believed to have happened when the car left the road and struck a tree.
Emergency services remain at the scene and the road was closed northbound between Brettagh Holt and Prizet into the evening.
People were asked to avoid the area.
