
A man has been jailed for supplying drugs.
Louis Moore, 27, of Moorville Drive South, Carlisle, was sentenced to four years and eight months in prison yesterday at a hearing at Carlisle Crown Court.
He was sentenced for possession with intent to supply a class A drug, being concerned in the supply of cocaine and being concerned in the supply of a class B drug.
The court heard on February 23 2023, police raided an address at St Augusta View in Carlisle.
A search was carried out and over 1kg of cocaine was found in a carrier bag in a wardrobe, along with digital scales.
Officers also found over £1,500 in cash.
Forensic enquiries on items found at the property discovered Moore’s fingerprints on the packaging of the cocaine.
Moore’s mobile phone was also examined, and messages were found relating to the supply of drugs.
After the case, Detective Constable James Bowness, of Cumberland CID, said “Proactive warrants such as in this case are taking those active in the supply of drugs to dealers and local users in the area before the courts.
“This proactive activity is supported by our community reporting information to us.
“We urge anyone with information on drug activities within our community to report information to us.
“This allows us to put those individuals exploiting and putting our communities at harm before the courts.”
