Police have made an arrest as part of an investigation into criminal damage to a vehicle in Barrow.
Officers from the force’s neighbourhood policing team made the arrest and seized the bike in connection with the incident on Andrew’s Way in the town.
There has been a rise in reports of anti-social behaviour in Barrow involving e-bikes this month, police said.
Sergeant Jack Hart, of Barrow Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We know the anti-social use of e-bikes and the crimes associated with this is an important issue to our communities in Barrow.
“This bike has now been seized, and I hope this serves as a warning to those riding such bikes and committing offences – we have a zero-tolerance approach and we will be proactively targeting riders.
“As part of this work, we’ll also be having honest conversations with parents of those involved and taking robust action where necessary.
“I would continue to ask anyone witnesses someone using our roads in a dangerous or anti-social way or causing criminal damage, to report this to us so that we can continue to take action.”
