
A woman in her 70s has died following a collision on a West Cumbrian road.
The woman, who was a pedestrian, was involved in the incident on Lamplugh Road in Cockermouth yesterday, Saturday March 14.
It happened at around 9.10pm.
The woman died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a man in his 30s, is assisting police with their investigation, Cumbria police said,.
The road was closed for a number of hours while a forensic collision investigation was carried out.
