Workington Comets have had to delay the start of their season because of the threat of really poor weather this weekend.
First casualty is today’s press and practice session at the Northside track which was due to start at 11.30am. It had already been put back from last Sunday.
Aldo postponed is the scheduled opening meeting on Saturday afternoon when the Redcar Bears were due to visit in a BSN series group clash.
Bad weather with a combination of high winds and heavy rain has been forecast over the Easter weekend and the Comets say new dates for both events will be confirmed as soon as possible.
