It’s been predicted for weeks but Senhouse Street officially claimed the Division One title in the West Cumberland Sunday League.

There were no fixtures at the weekend but several were played last night, including Senhouse Street’s 3-0 win against Sun Inn.

Gary O’Driscoll (2) and Leon Wharrier scored the goals for the champions, who claimed the title with just one defeat and two draws on their record.

In two other Division One fixtures, Workington Falcons drew 2-2 with Zebras while Maryport Amateurs beat Sun Inn Athletic 7-2.

Arly Fen and Liam Holder scored for the Falcons with Alistair Shaw-Hughes and Attlee Skillen responding for Zebras.

Mitch Lang (2), Jack Burns, Jack Greenhow, Jack Morgan, Tom Powell and an own goal made up Maryport’s tally with Mark Campbell and Lewis Penn hitting the target for Sun Inn.

In two league cup group games there were wins for Moresby Rangers and Deer Orchard.

Moresby beat Lowca Pirates 3-2 with goals from Taylor Richardson, Sam Stones and Jay Connor. Travis Fyfe netted both for Lowca.

Deer Orchard won 5-2 at Sun with goals from Nick Wood (3), Luke Graham and Sam Wright.
