Barrow and Workington Reds to meet in pre-season friendly

Barrow and Workington will meet in a pre-season friendly next month.

It will take place on Saturday July 11.

It has been a fairly regular pre-season fixture although it was not played last year.

Barrow are now in the National League and under new management with ex-Carlisle midfielder Adam Murray in charge after his exploits last season with Kidderminster Harriers.

It’s the second friendly that has been announced by the Bluebirds.

They have already announced that Murray’s squad will be rounding off pre-season with a trip to Morecambe FC on Saturday August 1.

The trip to Barrow is the first one that Reds have announced and manager Billy Barr is working on his pre-season programme with several friendlies in prospect.
