The fifth and final meeting of the Bridekirk series had 56 hounds competing in four races.

Senior table leader Silver Dream has been dominant in the four previous meetings and obliged again for her 14th win of the season.

There had been eight seniors at the slip and as so often it was Ruth and Charlie Dixon’s I Am It, currently being trained by Gary and Misha Bryers who got off to the best start.

Laura Steele, Andrew and Joel Bulman and Ian Rumney’s Embrace and Les and Graham Reid and Ellie Napier’s Mel was there as well.

The hounds are seen dropping out of the forest where Silver Dream and Mel had established an advantage over Embrace and I Am It.

Going along the bottoms roughly a minute later Mel and Silver Dream were still leading and they were out in front when they appeared on the finish.

Silver Dream had a length on Mel and as they approached the line the champion showed her class again to go on and register the victory.

Mel was second with a small gap to Martin, Molly and Teddy Burrow and Sarah Jackson’s fast finishing Thorn Soul with I Am It in fourth.

Alan Blacklock and Carole Harrison’s Busy Rascal stayed on well for fifth ahead of Lisa and Holly Whitfields Lucky Breeze.

Seventeen were slipped for the Pups race with Sadie, Kessi and Graham Wilson’s Cinderella sent off as the favourite.

Going out of into the bottoms Geoff and Gillian Higgins and Jake and Zach Green’s pair of Acacia and Azalia were leading with Nicola McMaster and Barbara Telford’s Rodney Ranger for company.

Back into view going through the bottoms Azalia was leading from Martin and Molly Burrow, Ian Freyne, Ger and Jennifer Kenneally’s Thorn Daisy and Tony, Marlene, Connor and Carter Irving and Gary Woodend’s Bewley.

Jumping the final hurdle and onto the long finish Cinderella had a length to spare on Thorn Daisy.

However when they neared the line and the whistles started Thorn Daisy showed the best finishing speed to grab the win by half a length from Cinderella and Rodney Ranger in third.

Ava McLellan and Baroness Ava and Tanya Satterthwaite and Pied Piper.

Stephen Riley and Isla Hetherington’s Fable finished fourth from Bewley and Azalia was sixth.

The Open Maidens were next to go with 21 competing.

Colin Satterthwaite’s Thorn Heart was sent off as the favourite but it was Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler’s pair of Foxparke Danny Elliot and Foxparke Elliot’s Lad who made their usual speedy starts.

Back into view going through the bottoms the pair were still leading ahead of Stuart Jeynes’ Heartside and Colin Satterthwaite’s other hound Thorn Pop.

But onto the finish littermates Tanya Satterthwaite’s Pied Piper and Heartside were the two leading the way from Thorn Pop.

In the end it proved to be a great finish with Pied Piper claiming the win by a head from Heartside with Thorn Pop still in third.

Raymond and Glenis Farren and Denise Bland’s Miss Becky finished fourth from Joseph Abram and Claire Crone’s Silver Girl and Thorn Heart.

The final race of the night was the All-In where 12 took part and Baroness Ava claimed the win by a head from Silver Streak.
