Emergency services are currently dealing with a fire in Walney.
People are urged to close their windows and doors.
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service crews were called to Teasdale Road in Barrow at around 11.55am after reports of the fire in a garage attached to a home.
The fire service said: “Residents in surrounding streets are advised to close windows and doors due to smoke from the scene.”
The fire has now been extinguished.
