Unisun Athletic confirmed their Cumberland County League championship win with a 1-1 draw with last season’s champions Maryport Athletic.
It put them 12 points clear at the top and Maryport, their nearest rivals, only have three games left to play.
Cameron Moir had given Maryport a deserved lead in the first half but Shane Dorward levelled for the new champions in the dying minutes of the game with a spectacular finish.
In the other Premier Division game Cockermouth and Workington Juniors shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw.
Luke Graham and Sam Wright scored for Cockermouth after they had been trailing 1-0 at the break. Ryan Byrne and Shane Rowe scored for the Juniors.
The Division One champions Dearham United had received their trophy earlier and are looking forward to mixing it with the top teams next season.
The club was started three years ago by current chairman Jack Brown and this is their first promotion under the management of Gavin Manchester.
Brown said: “I’ve played in the top League before and I know it will be a good challenge for us. But we have a lot of top division players so I’m hoping that we will be able to push on at the higher level.”

There was a single Division One fixture at the weekend in which Bransty Rangers beat Silloth 3-0 with goals from Chris Armstrong, Jamie Brady and an opponent.
The only other game played was a group fixture in the Whitehaven Cup in which Mirehouse won 2-1 at Keswick.
Lincoln Tunstall and Bradley Colaluca scored for Mirehouse with Alfie West netting for Keswick.
There are six games scheduled for Wednesday night:
- Premier Division – Aspatria v Keswick; Whitehaven Social v Maryport Athletic
- Division One – Cockermouth reserves v Northbank; Windscale reserves v Dearham
- Whitehaven Cup – Bransty Rangers v Whitehaven Miners Development
- League Cup – Wigton Harriers v Cleator Moor Celtic reserves
