Fly-campers have left tents and rubbish at a Lake District beauty spot.
South Lakes Police said they had been patrolling anti-social behaviour and fly-camping hotspots at Blea Tarn.
It said its officers and National Trust workers had removed the rubbish.
It said: “While we understand that people want to come to our beautiful Lake District to enjoy themselves, what we won’t tolerate is those coming to the area to cause damage or fly-tip.
“While this might appear a minor issue to some, for those that live in the area and those visiting responsibly it can have a seriously negative impact. We would encourage those visiting the Lake District to adhere to the countryside code, including leave no trace.”
Westmorland & Furness has several areas that are covered by a public space protection order. People flouting the order can be fined.
