Plans for 99 new homes in a north Cumbrian village have been revealed.
Story Homes has submitted an application for the new estate on land off Nook Lane in Dalston.
The Cumbrian developer said following public consultation, it has lodged the proposal with Cumberland Council and the development would include two- to five-bedroom houses, with 30% designated as affordable.
Adam McNally, Cumbria and Scotland head of land and planning for Story Homes, said: “Dalston is a thriving community, and we’re excited to bring forward proposals that meet local housing needs while respecting the character of the area.
“Building on the success of our previous development at The Grange, our plans for Nook Lane focus on creating a well-designed, sustainable neighbourhood with generous green spaces and homes people will be proud to call their own.
“We look forward to working closely with Cumberland Council and the local community as the application progresses.”
It is hoped a decision about the application will be made this autumn.
