
Two men were injured following an assault by three people in Wigton on Friday.
Cumbria police are investigating the incident, which took place near the town’s Spar on King Street in the afternoon.
The victims were set upon by two men and a woman and suffered facial injuries following the assault.
One of the men was around 18 to 19 years old, 5ft 7in and of a skinny build. He had short, blond hair and a pale, spotty complexion.
He was wearing a full grey tracksuit.
The second man was around 40 years old, 6ft 2ins, of a medium build, with short brown hair and a brown beard, with a pale complexion.
He had with him a crate of Fosters lager and was wearing a burgundy jacket.
The woman was also 40 years old, 5ft 3ins and of a stocky build, with medium-length hair and a pale complexion.
She was not wearing shoes and had on a white jacket, carrying a small brown handbag.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the assault or who has any other information which may help to come forward.
