Two gardeners with royal connections will reunite in Cumbria next month.
Jack Lindfield and Matthew Murgatroyd will appear together at Holker SpringFest, held at Holker Hall & Gardens on May 2 and May 3.
Jack is currently head gardener at Sandringham Estate, the private estate of the King.
Matthew, now head gardener at Holker Hall, previously worked the King’s Highgrove residence.
Their joint appearance offers a rare opportunity for visitors to hear directly from experts working at the top of their profession.
Holker SpringFest will bring together leading names in gardening, outdoor living and horticulture, alongside specialist growers,
live demonstrations and garden tours.
Fran Horne, head of visitor services at Holker Hall & Gardens, said: “Bringing together gardeners with Royal Household experience is something quite special.
“It reflects the calibre of expertise we’re proud to host at SpringFest, while keeping the event accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”
Jack and Matthew will be joined by Tony Kirkham MBE, formerly head of arboretum at the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, for an exclusive post-event experience on the Saturday evening.
The event, Stroll amongst the trees: in conversation with the experts, will invite guests to explore Holker’s historic grounds, uncover hidden plantings established by
generations of the Cavendish family, and gain unique insight into the challenges and triumphs of managing historic tree collections.
