Workington Reds have over 50 former players coming to the final game of the season against Leek Town.
Mid-week, the club had sold over 1,000 tickets to ensure another bumper attendance.
Saturday’s win at Warrington Town confirmed Reds’ safety without all the trauma of a last-day pressure game still locked in a relegation survival battle.
The gates open at 1pm and former players will be introduced to the crowd half an hour before kick-off at 2.30pm.
From the club’s Football League days John Ogilvie, Dave Butler, Mike Rogan, Peter Foley, Ronnie Walker, Eric Banks, Barry Gigg, Ronnie Hughes, Neil McDonald, Kenny Wallace and Keith Robley have all confirmed they will be there.
Martin Henderson was suddenly back in the headlines last Saturday after Reds fine comeback victory at Warrington Town.
It was 31 years ago that the self-same scenario – Reds needing to win to have a chance of staying up and they scored three second half goals to win it after trailing 2-0.
Martin (Sun Roof) was the hero with a hat-trick and three days later Reds confirmed safety with a 4-2 win at home over Congleton and he was carried shoulder-high from the pitch after scoring two more.

Henderson will be among the non-league ex-Reds returning for the game and said: “I’ve always had a soft spot for the Reds and Borough Park after my spell with the club and I was following the score on Saturday.”
John Reach, the skipper when Reds lifted the President’s Cup in 1984 their first trophy after dropping into non-league will be there along with several members of the side.
It all promises to be a timely reminder of how much Borough Park has meant to so many people over nearly 90 years.
Topping it all off in the Tony Hopper Bar will be the club’s annual presentations for the 2025/26 season which gets underway at 7pm.
