Rescue teams were called out after a person became stuck on rocks on the West Cumbrian coast.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team said it was called out on Sunday to Barrowmouth, between Whitehaven and St Bees.
The team said: “We worked alongside St Bees RNLI who were positioned just off the coast to help guide us to the casualty’s location.
“Cumbria police had made contact prior to our arrival, and the Coastguard team were quickly on scene to support and escort the casualty to safety.
“The casualty was then handed over to a waiting ambulance for further care.”
