A 17-year-old remains in a serious condition after a collision near Penrith earlier this month.

The incident happened on May 1 on the A6 near Milestone House, north of Penrith, at around 10pm.

It involved the 17-year-old, who was a pedestrian, and a white Audi.

The Audi driver stopped at the scene of the collision and engaged with police.

Emergency services attended including an air ambulance.

The 17-year-old was taken to hospital and police said he remained in a serious condition.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses as part of their investigation.

Police said they would like to hear from those driving between Penrith and Stoneybeck roundabout between 9.30pm and 10pm on May 1 who may have seen the pedestrian or have any dashcam footage.

People can report online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit quoting incident number of 285 1 May 2026, call 101 or email [email protected].
