It has been a disappointing season for the Whitehaven club, relegated from the West Lancashire League’s Premier Division.

But the second string, who play in Division One of the Cumberland County League can end their season with a trophy.

Whitehaven reserves take on Unisun Youth Development tomorrow at the Falcon Complex in Egremont (2pm ko) in the League Cup tier 2 final.

The tier one League Cup final is also being played at the Falcon on May 16 when Aspatria take on Cleator Moor Celtic reserves with a 2pm kick-off.

The top eight sides in the Premier Division play for the Ken Glover Memorial League Cup and that final promises to be a cracker on Wednesday, May 20 also at the Falcon, kick-off 7.15pm.

Six Premier Division clubs play their final League games of the season tomorrow – Aspatria v Whitehaven Miners Social; Keswick v Workington Juniors and Mirehouse v Wigton Harriers.

The final game of the season is set for Saturday, May 23 – with the final of the Whitehaven Cup but the teams involved still has to be decided.

Workington Juniors play Mirehouse and Whitehaven Miners meet Unisun Athletic in the semi-finals.
