Kirkby Stephen’s Old Print House is set to go under the hammer with a guide price of £115,000.
The black and white-painted Grade II-listed building in Market Square, which has three storeys and a stone-flagged roof, served as an inn before being converted into a house. It later became Halls newsagents.
It will be auctioned by BTG Eddisons Property Auctions on May 28.
Christopher Theocharides, senior commercial surveyor at BTG Eddisons said: “This is a wonderfully evocative and historic building that is a well known feature of Kirkby Stephen’s busy Market Square.
“It’s had a variety of different uses over its centuries-long history and it will be fascinating to see what the next chapter holds for the property in the hands of a new owner.”
BTG Eddisons Property Auctions is a national auction business formed by uniting the regional brands Pugh, SDL Property Auctions, Mark Jenkinson and Network Auctions. It now hosts a three-day national auction event every month.
