Man arrested after South Cumbrian road rage incident

A man has been arrested after an incident on the A590 near Ulverston.

The incident happened on Ulverston Road at Swarthmoor, last Wednesday, May 13, at around 2.15pm.

Cumbria police said it was reported that two men got out of their cars.

One man, shorter than the other, is reported to have assaulted the other man, who had a nose and tooth injury.

A car door was also kicked during the incident.

A man was arrested and later released under investigation.

Police said they would like to hear from the driver of a black Peugeot 2008, from Enterprise Rent-A-Car, who may have witnessed the assault.

Anyone with information, who saw the incident, or who may have relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact police.
