Wigton take over top of West Cumbria Mixed Triples League

Wigton have taken over at the top of the West Cumbria Mixed Triples League after a 6-3 win over Harris Park B.

Previous leaders Cleator Moor suffered their first defeat of the season when they went down 7-2 at home to Whitehaven A.

Other results for May 12 were: Vulcan Park A 2, Egremont 7; Workington A 3.5, Seascale 5.5; Whitehaven B, 0 Workington A 9; Seaton 9, Vulcan Park B 0; Harris Park A 6, Croft 3.

League standings (Games played and points): Wigton 3-21, Whitehaven A 3-18, Cleator Moor 3-18, Workington A 3-16.5, Workington B 3-15, Seascale 3-14.5, Harris Park A 3-13, Egremont 3-12, Whitehaven B 3-11, Seaton 2-10, Croft 3-10, Maryport 2-9, Vulcan Park A 3-9, Harris Park B 2-8,  Vulcan Park B 3-4.

In the West Cumbria Fours Lreague (sponsored by Whitehaven Trophies) leaders Whitehaven A scored their third maximum win in four matches.

They won 7-0 at Maryport and the only team to take points off them was their own B team who lost 5-2.

 Results of the other matches played on 15 May: Whitehaven B 4, Cleator Moor 3; Workington B 5, Vulcan Park 2; Seaton 0, Workington A 7; Fitz Park 7, Harris Park 0. 

League standings (Games played and points): Whitehaven A 4-26, Workington A 3-21, Fitz Park 3-19, Cleator Moor 4-19, Workington B 4-10, Seaton 3-9, Harris Park 4-7, Maryport 3-6, Whitehaven B 3-6, Vulcan Park 4-3.
