10p swims return to north and West Cumbria

10p swims will return for the May school holidays in north and West Cumbria for youngsters.

Youngsters aged up to 16 will be able to go for a swim in five indoor pools from May 25.

The discounted scheme has been put in place by Cumberland Council, with the support of Everyone Active, GLL and Wigton Baths Trust.

The scheme offers discounted swimming opportunities during the week.

It will be available at the following leisure sites at allocated times:

  • Sands Centre, Carlisle: Weekdays (except Bank Holiday Monday), and Sunday May 31 10am to 10.50am.
  • Cockermouth Leisure Centre: Weekdays, 1pm to 2pm.
  • Workington Leisure Centre: Weekdays, 10am to 11am.
  • Copeland Pool and Fitness Centre, Whitehaven: Weekdays, 1pm to 2pm.
  • Wigton Baths: Monday May 25, 11am to noon. Tuesday May 26, 3.15pm to 4.15pm. Wednesday May 27 3pm to 4pm. Thursday May 28, 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Friday May 29 11am to noon.
