Jack Reacher author Lee Child will be in conversation at an event on Kendal next month to raise money for a local organisation.
Lee, who came up with the iconic character’s name while in a Kendal supermarket, will be appearing at the event at Kendal Town Hall on June 25 to help raise funds for the Stricklandgate House 4 Sustainable Heritage project.
The scheme, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, aims to transform the Georgian Stricklandgate building into an accessible heritage and community hub.
Funds raised will help conserve the building, improve access, sustainability, and create flexible spaces for community use.
The event featuring Lee will also include refreshments provided by Kendal Farmers Market and has been supported by the Freida Scott Trust, Cumbria Community Foundation, Westmorland and Furness Council and Kendal Town Council.
It runs from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and tickets are available from https://www.trybooking.com/uk/events/landing/112554?embed
